Strong lines in this stippled quilt create a dramatic piece designed for everyday use. The rust, orange, and teal colors set on an angle are familiar tones of the American Southwest landscape.
The angular pattern of irregular placement of color strips is fashioned after a traditional Amish design; however this is definitely a sturdy quilt that has been machine stitched and assembled. The stippled quilting lines are black, adding more drama to the front of the quilt.
The back of the quilt is black and the front borders are brown and black to lend more interest to the entire piece.
Placed across the back of a fine leather couch, or carefully tossed on a cozy chair in a den or family room to grab when extra warmth is needed, this quilt would also make a strong statement in a bedroom as a bed cover.
