Soft blues, light greens, and beiges with white form the colors in this delicate quilt. Each of the blocks are carefully pieced so that the illusion of “double jump ropes” are intertwined in the design. (Can you see them?! And maybe you even remember some of those jump-rope songs that just had to be sung out loud as we were skipping rope with our friends!)
This pastel version of the design by Barb Hvizdak of Animas Quilts Publishing is interpreted by the quiltmaker to suggest that perhaps you might have seen this type of quilt on your grandmother’s bed. The life-like daisies in the blocks and on the border appear to be appliqued but they are really printed on the fabric.
Designed to be either a small quilt for a bed, a throw for a special chair, or perhaps a wall hanging, complete with hanging sleeve attached to the back of the quilt, to compliment the pastel decor of your room, this quilt completes with added dimension through the custom machine quilting that winds throughout the blocks on this quilt.
