If you can imagine the spinning of a toy top, the swirls in each of these blocks in this quilt are gentle reminders of the beautiful blur of colors created every time the top starts spinning!

This large Amish-made quilt is unique in both pattern and design created among the Amish culture. While the deep green background color is very much a traditional color choice, it is the patterned fabrics and the swirls in the design that separate this quilt from traditional Amish designs.

Completely hand-made with hand-stitched quilting patterns in white thread on the dark fabric, this quilt comes from La Forge, Wisconsin. The hand-stitching is exquisite and lends significant value and beauty to this large bed quilt.
