The soft, rich pastel tones, combined with the deep royal purple and burgundy touches keep you entranced as your eyes wander over this quilt. The green and beige borders on the quilt simulate a soft brocade pattern, but enjoy the smoothness of cotton as the fabric of choice.

Machine applique provides the structure for the floral and bird house columns, while machine quilting surrounds the various elements of the quilt. The softly placed borders are machine quilted in a repeating figure-eight pattern, adding further richness to the overall design. The backing for this fabric is a light beige that allows the quilting stitches to be easily seen.

The current Quilt Keeper, having never used this quilt, has kept it carefully nestled away for a few years, knowing that it will definitely one of those unique quilts that need to be seen and enjoyed in its entirety.
