This wonderful collectible enjoys enormous popularity and we owe many thanks to it’s creator-award-winning artist Jim Shore. We are fortunate he shares his talents with us in such a wonderful way!

Jim Shore grew up in rural South Carolina, inspired by traditional values expressed in American folk art. His grandmother was a master quilter who taught him an appreciation for the patience and skill required to bring intricate designs to life. Jim collects quilts dating back over 150 years and he is continually amazed at the creativity and quality produced by the quilt artisans—to him “it is a high art from humble beginnings”.

Made of resin, to ensure a long life, and carefully hand painted, Winken, Blinken, and Nod One Night depicts a number of quilt patterns including Ohio Star, 9-patch, and traditional applique shapes laid on top of the wooden shoe that serves at the life boat for this sleepy little children!
