The soft dusty color palette used in this quilt lends nicely to the name, Peaceful Afternoon! With dusty tones of rose, teals, tans, mocha, and greens combining to form a repetitive pattern block, the serenity is further enhanced.

The overall pattern block has a combination of four-patch units and triangles that form squares to create the diagonal corners for each of the larger block units. The color tones are randomly placed to create an ever-so-slight “breeze” with the design to keep surface interest in the quilt.

It’s a beauty! The soft color palette, includes prints on the fabrics to create additional charm with small floral units and tiny flowers spread among the blocks. Small polka-dot fabrics add border interest to the blocks as well as in the smaller 4-patch units that sit inside the design units! The paisley-printed border compliments all the colors used in both the front and back of the quilt.

The backing to this quilt is a beige background with an overall rose floral print, easily making this quilt reversible and twice as functional!
