About Quilt Keepers

Textile Artists and Quilters are passionate about their work and each piece of art represents an expansive spectrum of values, histories, and stories that need to be told. It is our appreciation of these Artists who labor to create their art and practice their skills that motivated us to create Quilt Keeper.

Quilt Keeper was founded in late 2007 to be a selling venue for Textile Artists and Quilters and to help tell the story of every quilt product: about its color, its design, its history, and the passion that sparked the artist.

We firmly believe that every quilt has its story, so we have combined the quilt process with an artist journal to form a unique product offering for most of our quilted products. With many items, Quilt Keeper supplies a handwritten journal that describes the creative process for that particular product.

You are encouraged to enjoy the journal by continuing to write personal notes to preserve the history of the quilt. Quilts have a long legacy of tradition, kept alive by the passing of the piece from generation to generation, or by sharing a piece in a display. In this way, a customer becomes a true Quilt Keeper, caring for the piece and keeping its story alive through continued journal entries.
